More Information about Turkey Creek Golf Club
|
Turkey Creek Golf Club, located outside of Sacramento, in Lincoln, is a result of the designer’s desire to combine challenging play with the history and encompassing terrain of the area. An old granite quarry, now a lake, is the focal point of the course and comes into play on the third and eighteenth holes. The environmental setting is the result of very little grading, and designer Brad Bell’s commitment to preserving the course’s natural surroundings.
The Sierra Mountains provide a stunning backdrop for this exceptional course that is vivid with oak trees and granite outcroppings. Several springs wind their way through the course, and the rock quarry lake provides a centerpiece for the picturesque setting. Wild turkeys, as well as deer and plenty of birds are often sighted in the wild surroundings of the course.
The 18-hole course offers 7,012 yards of play from the farthest tees for a par of 72. The course is rated at 73.4, and has a slop rating of 136 on rye grass. Three sets of tee boxes ensure that all skill levels of golfer can enjoy their round.
Turkey Creek Golf Club provides a variety of amenities for its visitors, including instruction by PGA professionals, and a fully stocked pro shop.
